Kajabi Pricing & Features Update Sept 2025: What You Need to Know
Kajabi made its biggest announcement to date in September 2025 including a long list of brand new features as well as new pricing / plan changes. For new Kajabi users joining after September 16th it means they'll be paying the new prices and getting the new features immediately. Existing Kajabi users have until January 13th 2026 (or until their next billing date after that) time to decide how they would like to move forward; stick with their existing legacy plan even after the price increase comes to effect, or migrate to one of the new plans. In this blog post I'm going to explain what the differences are and what to take into consideration when making the decision.
New Kajabi Pricing
The price increase is the first one Kajabi's made in the past 10 years, and reflects the evolvement of the platform from just a course platform to an all-in-one business powerhouse.
Existing users can choose to stay in their legacy plans even after the price increase comes into effect (in some instances this may make sense), but those who want the brand new features and new plan limits will need to migrate to the new plans.
Here's first a quick overview of how the different tier prices are changing:
- Kickstarter plan stays the same; $89/mo (or $71/mo when paying annually)
- Basic plan will change from $149/mo to $179/mo (or $143/mo when paying annually)
- Growth plan will change from $199/mo to $249/mo (or $199/mo when paying annually)
- Pro plan will change from $399/mo to $499/mo (or $399/mo when paying annually)
The questions you might ask is why wouldn't you migrate to the new plans if the prices are increasing anyway? Let's take a closer look at what's changing in each plan, as in some cases it might make more sense to stick with your existing legacy plan although generally the new plans are much more beneficial.
The benefits of the new Kajabi plans
Kajabi hasn't just announced new prices, but also 10+ new features as part of the evolvement of the platform. Depending on the plan you have, certain features may not be included and there are some additional changes to the current limits that may have either increased or decreased, which may impact your decision making.
Regardless of staying in a legacy plan or migrating to one of the new plans you'll get access to the brand new coaching product, page editor, automations, and checkout editor improvements (more about those below), but here's an overview of the main allowances that come with all the new plan updates (new benefits in bold, reductions in benefits in brown):
New Kickstarter plan
- Plan price stays the same ($89/mo or -20% when paid yearly)
- Max email list size stays the same (250 contacts)
- You can still build 1 Website and unlimited landing pages
- Instead of just 1 access group in a community, you now get unlimited amount of access groups
- Instead of just 7500 marketing emails a month, you can now send unlimited marketing emails
- Instead of no admin users, you now get 1 admin user
- Instead of just 1 funnel, you can now create unlimited number of funnels
- In countries where Kajabi Payments is available, a 5% additional charge applies on payments processed via Stripe
- You get a slight discount on payment processing fees when using Kajabi Payments
New Basic plan
- Plan price increases ($179/mo or -20% when paid yearly)
- Product limit increases from 3 to 5
- You can now create unlimited number of access groups inside your community, and they will not be considered as products
- Max email list size reduces from 10,000 contacts to 2500 contacts
- You can still build 1 Website and unlimited landing pages
- You can still send unlimited marketing emails
- Instead of 3 admin users, you now get 1 admin user
- Instead of 3 funnels, you can now create unlimited number of funnels
- In countries where Kajabi Payments is available, a 2% additional charge applies on payments processed via Stripe
- You get a slight discount on payment processing fees when using Kajabi Payments
New Growth plan
- Plan price increases ($249/mo or -20% when paid yearly)
- Product limit increases from 15 to 50
- You can now create unlimited number of access groups inside your community, and they will not be considered as products
- Max email list size stays the same (25,000 contacts)
- You can still build 1 Website and unlimited landing pages
- You can still utilise webhooks
- You can still send unlimited marketing emails
- You can still have 10 admin users
- Instead of 15 funnels, you can now create unlimited number of funnels
- You get access to the new Comment-to-DM feature
- You get access to the new Universal Inbox feature
- You get access to the improved Affiliate program
- You get access to the new Course Cohorts
- In countries where Kajabi Payments is available, a 1% additional charge applies on payments processed via Stripe
- You get a slight discount on payment processing fees when using Kajabi Payments
New Pro plan
- Plan price increases ($499/mo or -20% when paid yearly)
- Product limit increases from 100 to unlimited
- You can now create unlimited number of access groups inside your 3 separate main communities, and they will not be considered as products
- Max email list size stays the same (100,000 contacts)
- You can still build 3 Websites and unlimited landing pages
- You can still utilise webhooks
- You can still send unlimited marketing emails
- You can still have 25 admin users
- Instead of 100 funnels, you can now create unlimited number of funnels
- You get access to the new Comment-to-DM feature
- You get access to the new Universal Inbox feature
- You get access to the improved Affiliate program
- You get access to the new Course Cohorts
- You get access to the Video Transcriptions & Translations (+ Dubbing coming soon!)
- You get a Dedicated Success Manager
- Access to Kajabi's public API
- You get your own Branded App included (previously came with a separate $199/mo charge)
- In countries where Kajabi Payments is available, a 0.5 % additional charge applies on payments processed via Stripe
- You get a slight discount on payment processing fees when using Kajabi Payments
I'd say the only reasons why you might not want to migrate to the new plans are if you absolutely want to continue using Stripe as your payment processor instead of Kajabi Payments (in those countries where Kajabi Payments is available) and want to therefore avoid the additional 3rd party processor payment fees, or if you prefer your legacy plan limits over the new plan limits (I'd say it's mostly the Basic plan where some of the changes may impact you negatively).
What the new Kajabi features are about
Updated Coaching Product
The new coaching product updates available to all plans give you a much more flexible customisation options for the look inside your coaching products. You benefit also from some brand new additional features such as the ability to add one-click in context selling, auto-renew subscriptions, built-in invoicing, coaching-specific automations and also built-in session transcriptions are coming soon (this one I assume is only available for Pro plans, but let's see!).
Updated Checkout Editor
The checkout pages in Kajabi have got a completely new look and you can with the new checkout editor have a lot more flexibility in how to customise them. You can also add multiple payment options to one checkout page, rearrange the way how things display on the page, add new elements to them such as your course outline directly from your products and decide what you want visible and how in general.
Updated Page Editor
The page editor has also got some improved look to it making it consistent all across Kajabi from landing pages to website pages, emails and checkouts. The look is cleaner and more simplified, and you also get access to new elements you can add to your pages such as embedded checkouts, course outlines and more!
Updated Automations
Previously in Kajabi you could add automations via a settings menu to your forms, offers or products but you didn't really have a chance to visually see the map for different scenarios. Now with the new updated automations editor you can build visual roadmaps for your automations and easily see what happens with each scenario from more of a birds-eye view.
Unlimited access groups in communities
In the old legacy plans each access group a.k.a. sub-community inside your main community hug used to count as a product. Now with the new plans you'll get an unlimited number of access groups no matter your plan. This means that if you want to create a sub-community with its own Q&A sessions, discussions rooms and/or challenges for example for different courses, your membership levels or coaching packages, you can and your product limits won't get impacted.
Unified Mobile App
Previously there were separate apps available for Kajabi courses and Kajabi communities. Now these are both combined into one app, giving your students (and you) the chance to view all their Kajabi-hosted products in one place. If you can't see the changes inside the free Kajabi app that's available to all yet, simply sign up and sign back in to refresh it. (The branded app that comes with pro Plans is a separate thing, giving you the chance to set up your own branded app that's not shared with any other business).
Updated Affiliate Program
The affiliate program that's available for Growth & Pro plans has also got a much needed face lift. You have access to a completely new user interface and dashboard, that allows you to manage and monitor your affiliates, payments and systems much more effortlessly. You can finally set up auto-payments to your affiliates (no more manual work (unless you want to), set payout delay rules, make your affiliate dashboard look on brand for your affiliates with incentives through challenges and leaderboards.
Universal Inbox
This is a brand new feature available for Growth & Pro plans, allowing you to currently connect your Instagram profile and Facebook Page to Kajabi and monitoring and replying to your DMs directly inside your Kajabi account.
Comment-to-DM
This is a brand new feature available for Growth & Pro plans and relates to the Universal Inbox. Once you've connected your Instagram and Facebook accounts to Kajabi, you'll be able to create a new automation that automatically sends a Direct Message (DM) to a user who comments on a specific post on your Instagram or Facebook page based on a keyword(s) you've set up as a trigger. It works as a great replacement for tools like ManyChat, giving you the chance to reduce additional costs in your business.
Video transcription & translation (+ Dubbing coming soon!)
This is a brand new Kajabi function available only for Pro plans. It allows you to utilise Kajabi's AI to add transcriptions and translations to any new videos you upload to the platform, giving your students the chance to for example watch your videos in English with Spanish subtitles. Additionally, soon you'll be able to also dub your videos in other languages so that even if you speak a certain language on your videos, your students could watch it and hear you speak in their language. Got to love the power of AI!
Kajabi API
This is a brand new Kajabi function available only for Pro plans allowing you to access Kajabi's public API to integrate, automate, and scale with your favourite external 3rd party tools without limitations.
Overall Kajabi's update brings both exciting new features and new possibilities to grow your business even further and I personally see these updates in a very positive light. For many creators and coaches, the added value (better automations, more flexible customisation, additional lead capturing & communication tools, more generous limits etc.) makes the upgrades worthwhile. But as always, it depends on where your business is now and where you want to go next.
